Learn how to add and manage knowledge sources for a Microsoft Copilot Studio agent. This guide covers selecting an appropriate source, naming and describing it clearly, checking access, testing grounded answers and removing content the agent should not use.
Knowledge-source checklist: • Define the questions the source should answer • Choose an available website, SharePoint, file or supported data source • Confirm permissions and data sensitivity • Add knowledge from the Overview or Knowledge page • Give the source a clear name and description • Mark only rigorously verified content as official • Test expected and out-of-scope questions • Check citations and answer accuracy • Republish after changing a live agent
