Access for everyone

Accessibility statement

Tailored Deals is designed so disabled visitors can search, compare and open deal information without needing a mouse.

Accessibility standard

The site is designed and internally tested against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.2 at level AA. This includes keyboard operation, visible focus, meaningful headings and landmarks, text alternatives, colour contrast, zoom and reflow, target sizes and reduced-motion preferences.

No website can honestly promise perfect access for every combination of content, browser and assistive technology. Accessibility is monitored as an ongoing requirement rather than treated as a one-off badge or certification.

What visitors should be able to do

  • Use skip links to move directly to the main content or footer.
  • Operate navigation, search, filters, pagination, sharing and voucher copying with a keyboard.
  • See a strong focus indicator and close open navigation menus with Escape.
  • Zoom and reflow content without horizontal scrolling at common mobile widths.
  • Use screen-reader labels, status announcements and semantic headings, lists and landmarks.
  • Use dark mode, forced-colour mode and reduced-motion browser preferences.

Known limitations

Product photographs and retailer destinations are supplied by third parties. Tailored Deals provides descriptive alternative text and accessible link names, but cannot control accessibility after a visitor leaves this website. Google Translate also opens an external translated copy whose accessibility is controlled by Google.

Testing approach

Representative homepage, catalogue, country, category, deal, product, policy, feed and error templates are checked automatically after site changes. Keyboard order, focus visibility, menu behaviour, form labels and status messages are also checked manually before release.

Report an accessibility problem

If anything prevents you from using Tailored Deals, email hello@tailoreddeals.info or use the contact page. Include the page address, what you were trying to do and the browser or assistive technology used. Do not include passwords or payment details.

Reference guidance

The implementation follows GOV.UK guidance on WCAG 2.2 and the W3C WCAG 2.2 quick reference.
