Editorial standards
How our listings and guides are prepared.
We separate supplied facts from independent claims and show visitors what still needs confirming at the retailer.
Source and publication
Retailer and partner catalogue records are assessed through required-field, expiry, destination, market, category, duplicate, freshness and content-consistency checks before they qualify for prominent recommendations and search indexing. Retained records that need work remain available with their review status. The supplied offer date and operational expiry remain separate. Passing our checks does not confirm Google indexing.
Classification
Source category labels are normalised into clear consumer sections for easier browsing. Country labels are preserved and normalised for consistency; ambiguous market records go to Global or quarantine instead of being assigned to a country without evidence. Wine, beer and spirits have a dedicated classification rather than falling into unrelated categories.
Verification limits
- DEX Listing Checked means required listing fields passed—not that a checkout test happened.
- Code, retailer, price, freshness and expiry evidence remain separate states.
- No historic lowest-price claim is made without comparison data.
- Retailer-controlled stock, delivery and checkout eligibility can change.
- Supplied offer windows remain visible. An ended offer is labelled, and its retained record is assessed separately for recommendation and search eligibility.
Research and practical guides
Our buying, travel and student guides use AI-assisted research and drafting to organise practical decisions, checklists and source references. The sources attached to a guide identify the provider, manufacturer, university or public organisation consulted and the consultation date. Examples help explain a decision; they are not invented customer experiences or product test results.
Guides are published under Tailored Deals. We do not claim that an independent expert or the site owner personally tested every product or reviewed every source. Product testing, professional qualifications and specialist review are only claimed where supporting evidence is explicitly supplied. A page's length and technical publication checks are not a quality certification.
Relevant products and sponsored features
Catalogue links are selected for the guide's specific task and use records already held by Tailored Deals. When a matching record needs verification, that status stays visible. When no suitable match is available, the guide says so. Buying nothing, borrowing or reusing an existing item can be the most useful outcome.
Retailer links may earn a commission. A sponsored feature must be labelled and assessed for relevance and supportable claims. Payment does not establish that a product is best, guarantee a recommendation or purchase a favourable verification status.
Corrections
Where supplied terms conflict with a live retailer page, the retailer’s current checkout and published terms take precedence. Link-health and expiry maintenance run independently from catalogue updates. Material corrections re-score publication and SEO eligibility, with unsafe records quarantined rather than promoted. To report an inaccurate guide, inaccessible page or incorrect record, email Ryan.jowitt17@gmail.com with the page URL, the detail to correct and any supporting source.
