DEX evidence centre
Check what has actually been observed about a deal or product, when it was checked and which market or variant it covers. This centre publishes only observations that have passed a separate review; an entry in the catalogue is not itself proof that a price, code or availability claim works for you.
Retailers control their checkout prices, eligibility and availability, which can change after a check. A missing or blocked observation means the claim has not been independently established here; it does not mean the original listing has been removed, corrected or confirmed.
What the evidence terms mean
- DEX Source Checked
- A named source supported a particular claim at a recorded time. This is not a checkout test.
- DEX Retailer Checked
- A retailer observation is recorded with its scope. It does not establish product quality or every shopper’s eligibility.
- DEX Code Tested
- An actual permitted checkout test must record the code, market and account conditions. One successful test is not a universal guarantee.
- DEX Price Drop
- A comparison needs dated prices for the same variant and market. An advertised percentage alone is insufficient evidence.
- DEX Needs Recheck
- Evidence is missing, stale, contradicted or inaccessible. Blocked access is never counted as a successful check.
- DEX Expired
- Expiry is an evidence outcome. Accounting for an expired offer is not calling it active; the original catalogue record remains protected.
Coverage and limitations
A reconciled, versioned full-catalogue coverage denominator has not been established. We therefore do not publish a catalogue-wide verification percentage. The private observation pilot records individual checks; it does not continuously test every offer or make purchases automatically.
Sponsored exposure cannot purchase a positive evidence result. These explanations describe this evidence centre and do not replace review of claims elsewhere on the site.
Corrections and appeals
Prepare a correction report with the original URL, evidence reference, market and what happened. Please omit passwords, payment details and sensitive screenshots. A later contradiction can reopen an investigation; any published correction keeps its earlier history.
