Garden storage planning worksheet

Start with the items you need to store and the space you can measure. Record tools, cushions, containers and other belongings that are already in use, including anything awkwardly shaped or needed frequently. This creates a storage requirement before a new box, rack or shed becomes the assumed answer.

Measure the footprint, opening space and access route, then check the instructions for anything that needs particular storage conditions. Keep those manufacturer requirements separate from preferences about appearance. A possible storage product belongs on the comparison list only after its dimensions and conditions have been checked against the plan.
