Home-office layout planning worksheet
Plan a work area using the room, furniture and equipment you already have. Measure the available space and record the positions of doors, windows, sockets and shared routes before placing a desk or storage item in the plan. This makes the layout a record of your own room rather than a universal desk arrangement.
Create a candidate layout using measured footprints and note what needs to open, move or remain reachable during normal use. Keep an alternative layout if the room serves more than one purpose. The worksheet helps compare practical arrangements; it makes no medical posture claims and does not certify clearances or installation safety.
This tool does not save your entries automatically. Download a copy to keep your work, and clear the worksheet on a shared device before leaving. Do not enter passwords, account numbers or other sensitive personal information.
Using your worksheet
- Measure furniture footprints and the extra room they need when in use.
- Describe every position from the same reference corner so layouts can be compared.
- Check door movement, shared routes and ordinary room tasks with the proposed arrangement.
- Use the manufacturer’s requirements for equipment placement and installation.
Assumptions and limits
No minimum clearance, posture, pain-prevention or medical recommendation is supplied.
A written footprint plan does not establish safe electrical installation or accessibility compliance.
All dimensions and practical requirements are entered by the user.
