Furniture fit and access worksheet
Check the destination space and the route a piece of furniture would take to reach it. Measure the room, doors and awkward turns before shopping, then record candidate dimensions separately from your own measurements. A room can have enough floor area while access or normal use still needs checking.
Use one unit for every dimension and label whether a measurement refers to the packaged item, the assembled furniture or a clear opening. Leave uncertain clearances unresolved. This worksheet organises measurements; it does not certify that an item can be carried, assembled or installed safely.
This tool does not save your entries automatically. Download a copy to keep your work, and clear the worksheet on a shared device before leaving. Do not enter passwords, account numbers or other sensitive personal information.
Using your worksheet
- Measure clear openings, not the outside of a door frame.
- Compare the same units and keep package dimensions separate from assembled dimensions.
- Ask the delivery team about tight access before ordering if the route remains uncertain.
Assumptions and limits
No product dimensions or universal clearance allowances are supplied.
A simple width comparison cannot prove that an item will turn through a route.
