Choose a power strip for a desk without overloading it
A desk extension lead needs an appropriate load rating and a safe position, not just enough sockets.

List the connected equipment
Check the ratings of the actual appliances and the extension lead. Follow its maximum-loading instructions. Do not use spare socket count as a measure of spare capacity or connect another extension to create more outlets.
Check the cable route
