Compare laundry airers for a narrow room
A laundry airer should leave enough room to walk past while your washing is hanging, not only while the frame is empty.
Plan around a normal wash load and the room you can ventilate. The advertised length of drying rail does not tell you whether a sheet or long garment will hang without touching the floor.

Map the open frame
Check the fully opened width, depth and height. Include hanging sleeves and the space needed to move around it. Keep doors and escape routes clear. Decide where the folded airer will live before assuming a larger model is practical.
Match rails to your laundry
Count the garments in an ordinary load and allow space between them. Look for long unobstructed rails if you regularly dry bedding. Small accessories can be useful for socks but should not replace the rail space needed for your main items.
