The 2D Memory Crystal™ Necklace - Rectangle from Beyond Memories® turns one favorite photo into a wearable rectangular pendant engraved with the face you want to carry with you every day. The vertical rectangle is the classical photo-pendant shape - it frames a single subject or a couple beautifully and reads clearly at necklace scale, where details matter most. Your photo is laser-engraved into a solid block of optical-grade crystal in true high-definition detail. The pendant features chiseled multi-faceted polished edges with 45-degree chamfered corners that catch the light, and hangs from a polished sterling silver hooded bail and matching sterling silver cable chain - the necklace is hypoallergenic and water-resistant for everyday wear. Every necklace is finished by real artists at our studio in Henderson, Nevada - not algorithms. For new mothers, the pendant engraved with the new baby's first portrait becomes the necklace she never takes off. For memorial moments - the loss of a parent, a grandparent, a spouse, a beloved pet - the rectangle pendant lets the family carry the face of the person they love against their heart every day. The necklace is hypoallergenic and water-resistant so it can be worn in the shower, the rain, the workout class - the way an everyday-wear piece should be. How the personalization works Pick your pendant size at checkout (Small, Medium, or Large). Upload one photo through our simple uploader. Our photo team removes the background, balances lighting, sharpens facial detail, and prepares the image for laser engraving. We then engrave the image into the rectangular crystal pendant, attach the sterling silver hooded bail, and thread the matching sterling silver cable chain. Standard production takes 1-2 business days. Rush production available at checkout for last-minute Mother's Day or anniversary orders. What photo works best for the necklace The rectangle pendant is naturally a portrait shape - tall rather than wide. Single-subject headshots are the sweet spot. Photos with strong eye contact, clear facial detail, and natural lighting engrave most powerfully at this scale. The pendant handles 1-2 subjects well; groups with 3+ people will engrave but faces will be small. Avoid wide landscape compositions, heavily filtered photos, and dark/underexposed images. Send 2-3 options after ordering and our team will recommend the strongest engraving candidate for the rectangle's vertical orientation. What's in the box Every necklace ships in our satin-lined gift presentation box with a polishing cloth, a care card, and a Beyond Memories® certificate of authenticity. The pendant rests in soft satin against dark linen lining with the sterling silver chain coiled artistically beneath - designed for the moment the recipient lifts the lid and sees the necklace ready to wear. Pendant care The optical crystal pendant is durable and the sterling silver bail and chain are hypoallergenic and water-resistant for everyday wear. The pendant can be worn in the shower, the rain, and at the beach. Avoid harsh chemicals (chlorine, bleach, undiluted perfume sprayed directly on the chain). Clean the crystal pendant gently with a soft cloth and a small amount of glass cleaner. Polish the silver bail and chain occasionally with a silver polishing cloth (included with order) to maintain the bright finish. With normal everyday wear, the necklace looks the same after years as on the day it shipped. Production and shipping Standard production takes 1-2 business days.
