Answers- this is not a one-size-fits-all, try one of these, one might work for you... Make a fist with your left hand, except put your thumb on the inside. And squeeze. It suppresses the gag reflex somewhat. And yes, 100% serious. It works. Don't ask me how. Exhale while you scrape Lean your head forward as you scrape.. don't forget to breathe through you nose.. that should help! Take a drink of water immediately before you scrape your tongue. The process of swallowing disengages the gag reflex. Try it! Hold your breath while cleaning your tongue. It's the same trick sword swallowed use, no air = no gag! Do I use this before or after brushing? It can be used either way... some like to use it before because it removes the bacteria off their tongue and they finish by brushing their tongue. Others enjoy scraping after they brush... try both and then decide what works for your papillae!
