The 3D Memory Crystal™ Tabletop Square from Beyond Memories® is the modern centerpiece for any room: a perfect square block of optical crystal with razor-sharp 90-degree edges, engraved with your favorite photo in true three-dimensional detail. The square shape gives any portrait or family photo a contemporary, gallery-clean presentation that works in modern living rooms, on minimalist consoles, in office spaces, and on bookshelves where you want the image - not the frame - to be the focus. Your photo is sculpted into a true three-dimensional model and laser-engraved deep inside the K9 optical crystal using a precision 4K subsurface laser. The portrait lives inside the glass and will never fade, peel, or yellow. Every step is done by real artists at our studio in Henderson, Nevada - not algorithms. K9 optical crystal - lead-free, perfectly clear, hand-polished to optical-grade finish True 3D subsurface engraving - image sculpted in three dimensions inside the crystal 4K HD upgrade - available on all sizes for the highest level of facial and scene detail Five sizes - Small, Medium, Large, XL, and 2XL to anchor any room Razor-sharp 90-degree edges - precision-cut square geometry for a contemporary aesthetic Free photo enhancement - our in-house artists clean up your photo before engraving (no extra cost) Memory Light Base compatible - sold separately, illuminates the engraving with eight LED colors Premium gift-ready box - satin-lined presentation box included U.S. studio + U.S. customer support - Henderson based, real humans on the phone Perfect for the everyday, the milestone, and the in-between The square shape is the modern crystal - it fits anywhere clean lines matter. New parents engrave their first family portrait. Couples mark anniversaries, wedding days, and engagement-day photos. Families build a console gallery of multi-generational portraits in matching sizes. Professionals use the square for office and corporate-gift contexts where the rectangular crystal would feel too tall and the heart too informal. For milestone birthdays (40, 50, 60, 70), the square anchors the moment without any seasonal coding - it works year-round, in any room, for any photograph that deserves to be sculpted in light. How the personalization works Pick the size that fits your space - Small (about 2.5 inches) for a bookshelf or office desk, Medium for a console or sideboard, Large for a mantel anchor, XL or 2XL for a centerpiece moment. Upload your favorite photo through our simple uploader. Our photo team removes the background, balances the lighting, and prepares the image for 3D conversion. We then sculpt the photo in three dimensions and use a precision 4K subsurface laser to engrave the model inside the crystal. Standard production is 1-2 business days. Rush production is available at checkout. What photo works best in the square shape The square is the most versatile shape in our lineup. Portraits, family group photos, couples, scenic shots with people in them, even pet photos all work beautifully. The square geometry is forgiving of slightly different photo aspect ratios - we will crop intelligently. For maximum impact, choose a photo where the subjects (faces) take up roughly the central two-thirds of the frame. Group shots with up to 6 people engrave well in the Medium and Large sizes. Avoid photos with very busy backgrounds (we will remove them anyway), heavy filters, or extreme distortion. Send us 2-3 options after you order and our team will recommend the strongest candidate. What's in the box Every Tabletop Square ships in our satin-lined gift presentation box with a polishing cloth, a care card, and a Beyond Memories® certificate of authenticity. The crystal nestles in soft satin against dark linen lining - designed for the moment someone opens the box at a birthday, wedding, or holiday and sees the photo materialize inside the glass. Crystal care K9 optical crystal is built to outlive trends. Display the crystal in any room away from direct sunlight (which can warm the optics over decades). Dust monthly with the included microfiber polishing cloth. For deeper cleaning, use a soft cloth with a small amount of glass cleaner sprayed onto the cloth (never directly onto the crystal). Avoid extreme heat or chemical contact. The engraving lives inside the glass, so the portrait will look exactly the same in 30 years as it does today. Each size is shown with concrete inch dimensions on the variant picker. Can I engrave a group photo in the Square? Yes. The square shape handles 2-6 people very well, especially in Medium and Large sizes. For larger groups (8+), the Rectangle or XL Square engrave better. Will the engraving look as sharp on the Small as on the Large? Yes. The 4K HD subsurface laser engraves at the same resolution regardless of crystal size; the difference is simply the physical scale of the engraved image. Do I need the Memory Light Base? The crystal looks beautiful on its own and reads clearly in normal room light. The Light Base (sold separately) adds dramatic illumination in eight LED colors and is recommended if the crystal will live in a low-light area or you want the engraving to glow at night. Is this a good corporate or office gift? Yes. The square geometry reads as professional and contemporary, which makes the Square the most-ordered crystal for retirement gifts, corporate awards, real-estate closings, and executive milestone moments. What if I'm not happy with the engraving? We have a 30-day satisfaction promise. If the engraving doesn't capture the moment the way you imagined, we will rework it at no cost or refund the order.
