Before buying, ask: • What problem does this solve? • Is there a deadline or consequence if I wait? • Do I already own something that meets the need? • What will the total and recurring cost be? • Which goal or alternative am I giving up? • Will I still value it after a cooling-off period?
Needs can depend on health, disability, work, caring responsibilities and location. The aim is a conscious choice, not guilt.
